Panther Cheer has cheer teams for girls (and boys) ages 3 through 16! We have Jr. Tiny-Mite, Tiny-Mite (TM) and Mitey-Mite (MM)
which are Ages 3 - 9. Junior PeeWee (JPW), PeeWee (PW), Junior Varsity (JV), Varsity (V) and Bantam which are Ages 8\10 -16.
Other than Jr. Tiny Mites, all of our teams are Competitive up to the National Level.
Cheer Season starts with summer conditioning in June. The regular season begins Aug 1st and runs through the middle of December depending on Competitive Levels. The Season includes Football Games every Saturday against other Tampa Bay Foundation for Youth Development (FYD) Teams.
There are typically 2 - 3 nights of practice, a Parent Showcase, and a Conference Level Competition. Our Competitive Teams (TM, MM, JPW, PW, JV, and V) have a chance of advancement with both Football and Cheer. All Competitive Teams must be available to cheer the week of Thanksgiving, which is Regional Competitions and the also the first week of December for National Competitions.
We are based out of Oldsmar and practice at The Oldsmar Sports Complex (Canal Park). Our Competitive Teams also practice at a Cheer Gym in Oldsmar. Our Coaches are trained through Pop Warner and YCADA, a National Cheer Association that governs Cheer Guidelines for All-Star Cheer. All of our Competitive Teams advanced to the National competition in Orlando with two of them placing first in the Nation! These two teams won a bid to an optional competition hosted by YCADA and competed in a Global Competition where they both took 2nd place! We have had many Conference Champions, Regional Champions as well as various places in Nationals and Globals.
Our Compliance Officer will collect the following before the 2024 Cheer Season begins:
2023-2024 Full Year Report Card (We will need Three Full copies.)
Original Birth Certificate plus one copy (Original BC will be returned.)
*Only new players/cheerleaders will need to provide Original Birth Certificates
